Since it’s getting close to Halloween here’s a couple of things preppers might enjoy. Zombie movies and games often have news or radio reports as background effects and some are collected into short films you can listen to. The remake of Dawn of the Dead actually includes this DVD extra which is a 20 minute vignette telling the story of a beleaguered news anchor trying to keep the public informed during the first hours of a zombie outbreak. It’s a good movie in it’s own right:
In a similar vein fake news reports were compiled for a film called Infected (The Dead Inside) and released as a DVD extra. The news footage is much better than the movie.
Next up is a background radio element for a online game called H1Z1 which is great for listening to on a Halloween night:
Finally this YouTube indy film called The Last broadcast was thrown together in a month using volunteers. It’s pretty good for an almost decade old project.
Just some fun stuff for spooky season. Try to enjoy yourself now because next week the news is going to be more horrific than a zombie outbreak.
