There has been a lull over at Legiron books this past few months. It is not for me to expand on why, but my manuscript completed in December 2021 has now just come back from editing. According to Leggy, it is my best yet, which I suppose makes sense given that we improve with practice.
I’m giving it a final once-over myself before we hit the publish button and then it will be available on Amazon.
Just a quick reminder of the story…
I have always been fascinated by Anne Bonny and Mary Reid. I’ve combined elements of their stories into one character. It follows the adventures of Kit Beauregard from her childhood in domestic service to her time in the army during the war of the Spanish succession and finally to piracy on the high seas. The story is told in flashback from the condemned cell the night before her execution as she confesses to a visiting priest who sits quietly listening to her tales of adventure.
The question posed, is does she get out of this scrape?
