Joe Biden claimed “it’s wrong” for states to ban or limit gender mutilation surgeries and puberty-blocking hormones for children.
When asked by transgender activist and TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney on Sunday if states should have the right to regulate gender reassignment surgeries for kids, Biden replied, “I don’t think any state or anybody should have the right to do that.”
“As a moral question and as a legal question, I just think it’s wrong,” he said.
“Sometimes they try to block you from being able to access certain medicines, being able to access certain procedures, and so on,” he continued, referring to Republican-led state bills blocking doctors from performing these sex change surgeries on minors.
“I mean, no state should be able to do that, in my view. So I feel very, very strongly that you should have every single solitary right including use of your gender-identity bathrooms in public,” he added.
Alabama, Arkansas, Texas and Arizona all enacted laws this year restricting sex change surgeries and procedures for minors.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), who introduced legislation making sex change surgeries on minors a felony, lambasted Biden’s interview with Mulvaney.
“Joe Biden thinks it’s wrong to stop the profit driven medical industry from cutting breasts off 15 yr old girls and castrating teen boys before they are old enough to legally get a tattoo or vote,” she tweeted Monday. “The Democrats are the part of child abuse.”

Rather than put inflation or high crime front and center of his policy priorities heading into the midterms, Biden instead chose to be interviewed by Mulvaney over trans issues, highlighting just how out of touch he and the Democrats are with the broader electorate.

The trans debate has heated up over the last several weeks after Vanderbilt University Medical Center came under fire when one of its staffers admitted that the transgender surgery pipeline for kids is a “huge money maker.”
It has since suspended its transgender surgery program.
