Following the events of January 6th, the Democrats seized the opportunity to claim that the supposed riot was a domestic terrorist attack. Numerous Democrats like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recalled the experience and how she developed PTSD from believing she was about to be murdered.
Creating a committee to investigate the matter and whether former President Donald Trump played a role, the Democrats allowed Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney to participate. Often referred to as a “RINO,” Cheney has been extremely outspoken when it comes to Trump. She once stated, “I’m a constitutional conservative, and I do not recognize those in my party who have abandoned the Constitution to embrace Donald Trump.” While taking a stance, it seems her time in D.C. might be coming to an end.

Thanks to the Wyoming Values PAC, for the next three weeks, citizens will be bombarded with ads detailing the past of Cheney and her ties with the Democrats. If an ad blitz wasn’t enough, the group also has a key member, Donald Trump Jr. That right, Trump Jr. is not only going after Cheney, he is also endorsing Republican Harriet Hageman to replace her. Take a look.
In the ad, Trump Jr. admitted, “For far too long, Liz Cheney has bowed to the Democrat elites like Nancy Pelosi. That’s why my father endorsed Harriet Hageman for Congress. Hageman will defend our border and our Constitution. That’s why I’m joining President Donald Trump to officially Harriet Hageman for Congress. She’s the congresswoman Wyoming deserves.”

It should also be noted that Cheney was one of the 10 House Republicans that voted to impeach Trump due to supposedly inciting the riot on January 6th. With the primary being held on August 16, Cheney’s campaign had accumulated a staggering $6.8 million at the end of March. While the ads will definitely cause some trouble for Cheney, her campaign doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
Online, users had an interesting take with one writing, “Anytime you have to raise millions or more to be voted into a $170,000 job, there is pay for play. There has to be limits, but there are too many crooked politicians to pass campaign reforms.”
Another person added, “I seriously doubt all the democrat campaign money Liz is bringing in will have any impact. She literally has no chance of winning the primary in Wyoming. Longmire would even easily beat her, and he is fictional.”
And one claimed, “Anyone running for office at any level should not be allowed to take private money or money from a large institution. They should have to use their money and money that their state citizen’s donate. It is no longer the government of the people. It is their government and their rules. We the people have allowed them to become what they are today. Term limits and rules on where they get their funding should have been voiced and protested 50 years ago or more. Now they have the power, not we the people.”
