It is said that personnel is policy. With his cabinet picks, Donald Trump is laying out his agenda: a hard-line stance on national security and foreign policy, with Ukraine-aid skeptic Senator Marco Rubio as Secretary of State and Congressman Mike Waltz as National Security Adviser; deregulation on environmental protection measures with former Congressman Lee Zeldin picked to lead the EPA; and an accelerated crackdown on immigration, with anti-immigration extremist Stephen Miller serving as White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy. As the incoming Trump administration fills up with loyalists, can Democrats do more than just watch it all unfold? Allies overseas also are on guard, even while seeking favor with the new administration. James Carville, architect of Bill Clinton’s decisive victories in the 1990s, popularized the line, “It’s the economy, stupid.” Now Carville is the subject of a new documentary on MAX. He joins the program from New Orleans.
