All eyes were on Trump’s first full Cabinet meeting at the White House today, which included the non-Cabinet enforcer Elon Musk — the first to be called on to speak. Musk addressed the controversial email he sent to federal workers, asking them to explain what they’d done in the past five days. But many of the Cabinet members at that table have told their employees not to respond to Musk’s email demand, given the sensitive nature of their work. On Monday, a judge tried to figure out who exactly is in charge of DOGE, expressing concern about the constitutionality of the department’s actions. Even the government lawyer was unable to explain the specific nature of Musk’s role. Gregg Nunziata is a conservative attorney who is Executive Director of the Society for the Rule of Law. Previously he worked at the Department of Justice and for then-Senator Marco Rubio. Nunziata speaks to Christiane from Washington.
