🔶 Bank of England is a factor we are poorer but say we need to live with it. They printed lots of money during lockdown when the demand in the economy was reduced – leading to inflation. Have been putting up interest rates, when the drivers of inflation the past year have been energy costs and food. You don’t reduce demand for these with higher interest rates – you just make people poorer through higher housing costs.
🔶 On top of this we now have the highest tax burden for 70 years meaning that people have less disposable income on top of all the inflationary factors.
🔶 Sunak was installed as PM despite Tory members not wanting him. The MPs wanted Sunak but when it went to the members they voted for Liz Truss. She made a tax cut that cost less than what it costs to put Channel Migrants in hotels and the markets went into meltdown. It was a coup to replace her with Sunak.
🔶 Excess deaths continue among the 30-44-year-olds in 2023 with deaths running around 10/20% above what you would expect. There have been 4,000 deaths in total this year among 30-44-year-olds so let’s look at them all, get the death certificates, and NHS records, and understand what is going on.
