“Beware of narrative and form.” This is the warning at the start of the Alfonso Cuarón’s Apple TV+ series “Disclaimer,” based on the psychological thriller by Renée Knight. The book explores the devastating effects of a posthumous novel claiming to detail how celebrated journalist Catherine Ravenscroft — played by award-winning actor Cate Blanchett — seduced a teenage boy on holiday before watching him drown. Spoiler alert: The final episode reveals that none of this was true. In the second part of Christiane’s conversation with Cuarón and Blanchett, they share their thoughts on the surprising ending.
